I don’t think I need to remind you of how much I loved this song when it dropped, or of how ofter I’ve played it since. This…is…my…JAM!!! This video may be the most my vindicating moment “writing” for this site. I’ve been telling anyone who would listen (no one) that this was a gospel song in disguise. “White gospel disco magic”, to be exact. Then they go and prove me right with the video. I am victorious today!

I’m so amped for this album I’m almost afraid to listen. I NEEEEED this to bang properly. Summer’s almost over and it didn’t give me the anthemic 2011 heatwave soundtrack I require. In much the same way, they premiered (the monstrous) lead single, “How Deep Is Your Love”, The Rapture offer up a visual stream of their next album, set to smash my car’s speakers on Sept. 5.

The Rapture – How Deep Is Your Love by DFA Records We got a preview a while back, but FINALLY…the CDQ version. This song is just…White gospel disco magic. That’s what it is. It’s like going to church on a coke binge. Have you ever done that?! Yeah, you have. i saw your tumblr, and you have DEFINITELY gone to church on a coke binge. This is exactly what you were hearing in your head. I know it. Whooo! In the Grace of Your Love coming in September.

I usually don’t mess with song previews or music video trailers (really, y’all)…but exceptions must be made! It’s The Rapture for (various) gods’ sake, and this song sound like it’s going to be an absolute monster once the HQ version drops. I almost want to use the word “quintessential” to describe this vibe. Instead, I’ll say it’s Rapturian. This does leave me angry that the album doesn’t drop until September. I need that summer HEAT!
